Moon Crab (Halloween Crab) 

Scientific name: Gecarcinus quadratus

Adult size: 2-2.5 inches 

Lifespan 8-10 years 

Diet: omnivore- they will eat a wide variety of foods and should also be offered a calcium source like cuttle bone 

They are nocturnal and love to burrow so they require a deep substrate. A mix of coco fiber and sand is a great substrate option for them. Moon crabs have been known to fight so it is best if they are housed individually. They require a fresh water dish for drinking and a salt water dish for bathing. These crabs enjoy climbing and will appreciate some branches.
