Still stuck at home? Here are 4 pet toy crafts to keep you and your furry friend busy!
Got some extra time on your hands? Bored at home with nothing to do? Here are some crafty ways to keep you and your pet entertained while staying at home!
T-Shirt Tug-of-War:
Do you have a pet that loves to play tug-of- war? Or chew on a tasty tennis ball? We have a craft that suits both needs that only uses two materials!!
Step 1 (rope base): Find an old t-shirt and cut three long strips (if you want your rope to be thicker, bundle each section with more strips).
Step 2: Pull on the strips to straighten them out, then knot them at the top (leaving a bit of the t-shirt sticking out for that added flare!).
Step 3: Braid your strips.
Step 4: Before you tie off your rope, take a tennis ball and carefully cut a hole on each side. Slide the ball onto the rope and finish it off by tying a knot.
Optional: If you don't want or don't have a tennis ball, you can keep this part off and still have a fun rope to play tug-of-war with!
Water Bottle Sock:
Do you have a pet that loves to chomp, crunch and listen to those crinkly sounds? Here is an easy 2 material craft for you!
Step 1: Grab a large sock.
Step 2: Insert an empty bottle inside (make sure the cap is removed, this allows for the bottle to get extra crunchy and keep your pet safe from potentially swallowing the small plastic lid).
Step 3: Tie off the sock.
Tennis Ball Treat:
Here is a quick craft to keep your pet busy with this tasty puzzle.
Step 1: Grab a tennis ball and carefully cut from the middle of the ball, along the rubber line to the centre of the other side.
Step 2: Add some treats or kibble inside and let your furry friend have fun figuring out how to get their treat!
Puzzling treat:
Looking for a simple way to entertain your pet? Here is a great way to test your furry friend's skills with some extra mental stimulation. The best part is, its very easy to set up!
Step 1: Grab a regular size muffin tin.
Step 2: Grab some tennis balls (this craft can use up to 12 balls but if you are short, no problem just grab as many as you can or even use other pet-friendly items that can fit in the muffin tray)
Step 3: Place treats or kibble randomly in the muffin tin (but don't fill all the spots).
Step 4: Cover all holes with tennis balls and watch your pet find each treat you've hidden!
